Reading for free- what I would choose

In response to The Daily Post’s writing prompt: “Morton’s Fork.”

Morton’s Fork

If you had to choose between being able to write a blog (but not read others’) and being able to read others’ blogs (but not write your own), which would you pick? Why?

In my present state of mind, which is a dreary, lazy, loitering one, I would certainly like to read other’s posts and not write my own because I have no ideas of my own or no creativity at present. My muse is either dead or gone on a long pilgrimage. I am looking for him. Till such time, I need to look for the Daily post and other inspirations to be able to write.

In the meanwhile, I would love to read and understand other’s blog posts. I would have all the time in the world to understand and get into new blogs and meet new friends. Some of my online friends have really become so close that I feel they are family.

So many of the bloggers welcomed me into their world when I first started and I would like to pass the favour forward by reading and encouraging new bloggers. My own writing would improve as I read others’ and learn more. I will learn how to put my ideas into words and my words into my thoughts.
