Family time Friday

I have been quiet on the blog. I have been quiet in the outside world too. Work went on as usual- a gratitude day passed by on Monday and a thought day passed by on Tuesday.

My family is back home once again. Until next week. It has been hectic for them- quiet for me. Its good to have them home but as you know, cooking gets to be a problem once more.

  1. Do I understand the cooking thing. …Yes I do. Even though it is “just me”” I know I still need to eat regular meals but the desire to cook just isn’t there. Frozen meals may fill but most are yuck. Have I solved the problem …No.
Take your time…we all need a break once in a while.

  2. I’ve had a lot of quiet time this summer recovering from my concussion. Some of it has really been horrible, but as I’ve started to feel better it has been fantastic. I understand the cooking thing. I have a hard time cooking in the summer especially. We signed up for some of those boxed meals through Sun basket and that’s helped a lot.

    • Molly,
For your previous post, I forgot to tell you I loved the picture of you peeping from behind the African violets from the outside, with a naughty grin on your face. I love that picture of yours.
Hope the head is feeling better. Is the Sunbasket a company that delivers hot meals home ?
      Wow. That is a treat.

      • Thank you, Susie. I have fun doing photos for my blog and I appreciate you noticing. Sun Basket sends you all the ingredients for a meal, except for basics like salt/pepper/olive oil, along with detailed instructions on how to assemble. It is very slick with no waste and fresh, quality ingredients. I can justify it with the idea that it keeps us out of restaurants so $11-12/meal is less than eating out. Very convenient.

  3. So glad to have you back Susie. Yes quiet time and a time to be still is crucial in today’s busy world. I am so glad you had that opportunity…(though I am glad you are back!)
I am hoping that life has found a “normal” for you…one that is comforting and fulfilling.

  4. Hi Susie, Quiet is essential for me, but I like the rowdy, rambunctious times too. I think the quiet prepares me to enjoy the fun to the fullest. Kathy
