About me

I am an independent woman, who likes to be different. Mother of two and a wife to one. I enjoy reading books and writing too.  I started this blog to improve my writing and to create a portfolio, in the hope that I could build up a career as a writer but that was not to be.

Over my years blogging, I have changed my perspective. I write now in order to communicate with others. I enjoy reading blog posts and posting comments on them, should the posts have pulled my heart strings.

I have always found it difficult to tolerate wrongdoing, especially when it is done to someone less fortunate , less vocal or weaker than I am. For this reason, I love children, animals and plants. When I read about things that go wrong in the world, I often want to become like Super Woman and set things right. Though I am 45, it is difficult for me to grasp the fact that there are many things in the world about which I can do nothing.
My hope for myself is that I can live a good human being all my life and when I pass on, I can meet my grandparents, my pets and others who have passed on before me.

  3. HI Susieshy45. Congratulations. I think you nominated me for this award as well, however when I read your post I do not see my blog. I am not sure what to do. I accepted, but am now wondering, did you mean to send the nomination to someone else?

  4. Hey Susie, I think we have this thing in common of wanting to become a Superwoman to save the world! 🙂
I can not stand unfair outcomes and I always vouch for fair and just play(I used to get into arguments with my friends and so many unknowns for this trait of mine). Though I would attribute this behavior to me being a Libra! 😉
Are you a Libra too by any chance?

    1. Dear Miriam
Thank you for visiting and commenting. Danny has been instrumental in introducing me to new blog friends. I am passionate about setting things right in my own way, which is not often the way the word sees it. So I am often in trouble with the world, read husband, who is my critique in all of my do-good activities. We have a lot of fights and arguments on this but essentially we believe that the world can be a better place. We just go about it in different ways. I believe in the rights of animals, small children, in fact all children and even anyone who is hurt.

  6. Hi Susie! It’s so nice to meet you. I’m the wife of one; mom to one. I am a freelance writer and blogger. I had been a technical writer before we had our baby ages ago. We decided that I would stay home with her while she was little, but I’m still working at home even though she’s a lot older. Maybe I’ll go back to tech writing when she leaves for college one day. 😉

Anyhow, I was wondering how to get my blog on your blogroll. I write about “Life with a Little Alabama Twist” at Sweetgum Life.

    Blessings,
    Stephanie

  7. Hi Susie — We just interacted on Robin’s blog, so I had to check you out. Seeing that we have many of the same blog-buddies already, I was going to check out some of your posts to see if I wanted to follow you as well.

THEN I saw that you follow MotivationSuccessFreedom – and there was NO doubt in my mind that I did. Do you KNOW him? I just found him and am so impressed with his guts, his spirit, his heart and his story, I included it among the Related Content links under my [very] early Monday post this week – [How well do you REALLY function?]. My hope is that every single one of my readers will jump over to read it and will choose to follow him as well.

I also resonated to your over-arching goal – mine is to walk my talk until I die. So far, pretty good! I’m also looking forward to being reunited with dear friends and loved ones eventually, and my puppies are waiting for me on Rainbow Bridge, I have no doubt.

I’m looking forward to getting to know you better.

    1. Thanks Madelyn. I am grateful that you cam to take a look at my blog and read through some of my posts, which are essentially my ramblings.
I am going over to read Motivation Success Freedom today as I seem to have not read any of his posts recently.

      1. He hasn’t posted much yet, but I’m sure he’d be pleased as punch with the support. How can you *not* root for a kid like that?

He has comments set to “approve” so I hope he knows what to do with a pingback! My article linked to his posted about an hour ago.
